Dr. Wilson is a Board certified radiologist. He earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in 1985, completing a four-year United States Navy medical scholarship at that time. He then served as a physician in the USN until 1996, earning the rank of Commander Select, along with receiving the Navy Commendation Medal and other awards.
Dr. Wilson completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1994. During his residency he was elected Chief Resident and Radiology Resident of the Year.
For the following two years, he served as a staff radiologist at the NNMC. Dr. Wilson is a MQSA certified Mammographer, and is one of four certified B-readers in the state of Georgia. He joined Georgia West Imaging in 1996 and became a partner in the practice in 1997.
Georgia West Imaging is a group of ten radiologists that provides radiology services to hospitals, imaging centers and physician practices, as well as offering teleradiology services.
